New McLaren to take on the Audi R8
Wed, 18 Feb 2009The 'Baby' McLaren - expected on sale in 2012 When Ron Dennis left McLaren F1 recently, he said he wasn’t putting his feet up, but had so many other things to do within McLaren that he’d be busier than ever. We’ve brought various bits of information about the McLaren P11 – the F430 / LP560 size car – recently, a project that will certainly keep Ron busy, but there’s more information coming out on the new ‘Baby’ McLaren today. Audi A1 S-Line Revealed
Sat, 06 Mar 2010The Audi A1 S-Line - the Sporty A1 S-Line package gets revealed Having had a little moan earlier that the Audi A1 overshadowed the debut of the RS5, we have to confess that we are finding the A1 a tempting ‘Only Premium Car in its Class‘, mini-bashing Audi. We’re more than a little impressed with the A1 e-tron but the A1 range as a whole does look like it will offer the best competition yet to the market-dominating MINI. Audi has already said that it intends offering a range as complete and customisable as the MINI, which will start at the bog-standard A1 and run the gamut through the electric A1 e-tron up through to the performance oriented Audi S1 (which Audi has already confirmed).

While the NYC expo holds decent sway on the US East coast, it could never hope to compete with the lure of the world's biggest – and fastest expanding – car market. With over 1,300 cars on display from scores of brands – both domestic and foreign – it's a fascinating bazaar of automotive hardware across the entire bandwidth of the industry.
