Up for auction is a complete set of the glove box manuals (owner's manual and others) for an E34 BMW. The E34 cars are the 1989-1995 5 series, such as the 540i, 530i, and 525i. This particular set came from my own car that I used to own, a 1995 540i.
This auction includes the following pieces, all of which fit nicely into the original nice simulated leather manual binder that's included:
- The owner's manual
- The radio/CD changer manual (which also includes the code card/window decals for the antitheft system)
- The manual for the factory-installed car phone
- The Service/Warranty information manual
- The dealer directory and atlas
- The BMW accessories catalog
- The accident checklist/guidelines publication
- The BMW maintenance program brochure
- The list of BMW car clubs
- The black zip up simulated leather binder, which holds all of the above
This is the complete set, at least for the particular car it came from. Bear in mind that this was carried around in the glove box of the car for about 18 years--and taken out and read as needed--so the manuals aren't in brand new condition, but they're perfectly useable with no obvious defects such torn or missing pages. Given that even the newest of these cars is now approaching 20 years of age, complete sets of manuals like this are very rare. This is a good opportunity to add a rare touch of originality and completeness to your own E34 Bimmer! These are not simple, uncomplicated cars, so if you have one of these cars and don't have a manual for it, you're really missing out on having valuable information on the operations and functions of your car!
This set is heavy, but fortunately, because it's printed material it can be sent by very inexpensive USPS Media Mail domestically, so shipping costs are quite reasonable domestically. Pfadt Race Engineering Cadillac ATS hits 162.5 at Texas Mile
Wed, 10 Apr 2013Pfadt Race Engineering is claiming it has the world's fastest Cadillac ATS after clocking 162.5 mph in the standing mile at the latest Texas Mile event in Beeville. Pfadt used the turbocharged four-cylinder ATS as a starting point and upgraded the turbo, intercooler, suspension and exhaust. Pfadt says the engine improvements are responsible for adding more than 100 extra hp in the lightweight luxury sedan, which starts with 272 hp.
