Welcome to my auction, I am clearing out a few items used in recent project so take a look at my other auctions.

Here I have a performance chip for E36 325i and 325is as well as the E34 525i and 525ix with or without the EWS2 immobilizer using the red or silver 413 ECU.  It will disable the immobilizer function from cars that have this fitted (silver 413).  Will work for cars with either a manual or automatic transmission (gearbox).  The tune level is stage 1 (stock internals).  This is done by optimizing part throttle and full throttle ignition timing and fueling.  The red line is raised by 500rpm to 7000rpm.  This chip is equivalent to a DINAN chip.

If you want more performance from a stock or lightly modified engine or if you are building a track car or transplanting the M50TUB25 (M50 2.5l with VANOS) engine into the E30 body or any other car and want to do without the EWS system, this is what you need!  Also if you have a defective EWS unit and don't want to spend a lot of money to replace it, you can just disable it with this chip.

This chips comes in 3 version so please specify your version when purchasing (add a note at checkout).  You need to open your ECU and check the numbers on the memory chip inside the ECU.  Versions to choose from:

  • 1 267 357 609 (92-93)
  • 1 267 357 623 (93-94)
  • 1 267 358 715 (95-96 with factory fitted EWS - chip includes EWS delete)

Specs:

  • Engine: M50TUB25 (with VANOS)
  • ECU: RED or SILVER 413
  • Peak Horsepower Gain: 18 @ 6000 rpm
  • Peak Torque Gain: 20 ft-lbs @4000 rpm
  • Rev-Limit Increase: 7000rpm (up from 6500rpm)
  • Required Fuel: AKI91 (RON98) or higher
  • EWS2 code: deleted if present
  • Gearbox (transmission): manual or automatic

Please note: Some but not all people may experience starting problems with this chip in cars that have factory fitted EWS immobilizers, this can be easily fixed by cutting the wiring on the ECU harness at pin 66.   This is the wire for the EWS2 signal that can confuse the ECU without the EWS2 code in the ECU chip.  If you have removed the EWS2 module you must also bridge the starter wires that are usually closed by the EWS2 relay (large wires on pins 1&3).  There is no need to cut the wire at pin 66 with the EWS2 module removed.

EyesOn design awards 2012 winners announced at NAIAS

Tue, 10 Jan 2012

The Detroit-based EyesOn Design competition winners have just been announced at their traditional time, late on the second press day of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The jury, which this year included Ralph Giles (Chrysler), Derek Jenkins (Mazda), Lorenzo Ramaciotti (Fiat/Chrysler), Peter Schreyer (Kia) and Franz Von Holzhausen (Tesla) had a much greater array of products to choose from than in recent years; this is a somewhat rejuvenated Detroit auto show. From the cars on display at the show, the judges shortlisted the Ford Fusion, BMW 3-Series and Cadillac ATS for the best production car award.
