Quality and Consistency
It might appear that there is not much to a lug bolt.

But there IS a lot to be said for the manufacturing process, the quality control, and the consistency of the production. Any factory can crank out thousands of these a minute, but not very factory is equal in quality.
These bolts are made to the same exacting standards of your BMW. Bilstein is well known to be the world leader in suspension and wheel related parts.

These bolts are imported from Germany even though there are many aftermarket options made elsewhere (like China).
Precision Taper
The conical section is the key to a bolt's grip. That angle gives these bolts a lot of surface area to grab. Bilstein's quality control and frequent retooling insures a consistent cut to each and every bolt head.
Durable Finish
Bilstein uses a very thick coat of polymerized black paint, that stays put through many tire rotations. Many of the cheap lug nuts look all right until a socket touches them and they start chipping and thus eventually rusting.
The high quality rust protection is applied to the taper and threads as well, so they will NOT rust against your wheels.

In our shop we have often run into lugbolts so rusted against the wheels or into the hub that they have to be drilled out. These lug bolts stay rust free even in Michigan's salty winder roads.
So yeah, there is a LOT more to a lug bolt than meets the eye.

That is, if they are made well, and made by a company that has been manufacturing auto parts in Germany for over 50 years. They've learned a few things over the decades.
Go with the Best
Don't take chances with your wheels.

Go with the proven leader in mission critical parts.

Buy these lug bolts and drive with peace of mind.

Like a sling shot, the heavy engine at the back is always trying to overtake the driver in front. Anyone can understand that.Yet the Porsche 911 - one of the fastest cars on the market, and one of the most enduring in history - has its engine at the back.
