Welcome to my auction.  Here I am offering a used BMW M3 ECU retuned by DINAN.  It is from a USA spec M3 3.2 with a manual transmission (S52).  The tune is Dinan’s stage 3 to be used with their cold air intake (CAI) and larger throttle body.  Unfortunately Dinan does not have a power rating on this tune.  It has been used with good results on a car with a M50 intake and non-Dinan CAI.

This ECU has the EWS immobilizer function so the ECU will need to be synchronized to your car before the engine will start.  If you prefer I can disable the EWS before I send the ECU so that it will be plug and play.

Specifications:

  • ECU: BMW Siemens MS41.1 (MS41.2) part number 1406464
    • Originally fitted on a BMW E36 M3 S52 manual
    • Coding data version 1407136
  • Tune – Dinan Stage 3
    • To be used with cold air intake and larger throttle body
    • Works well with M50 intake

Price for tune from Dinan is $499 (http://www.dinancars.com/shop/D903-32M2-T-Stage-3-Engine-Software.aspx#page=1)

Volvo S60 L plug-in petrol hybrid heading for Beijing Motor Show

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

The Volvo S60L Plug-in (pictured) heading for Beijing The Volvo V60 Plug-in is already doing good business for Volvo – despite a price tag of £50k – but the V60 plug-in is a diesel hybrid which doesn’t suit all markets. So Volvo are ploughing ahead with a petrol engine based plug-in hybrid with the debut at the Beijing Motor Show next week of the Volvo S60 L Plug-in, a petrol hybrid version of the long wheelbase S60. At first glance the S60 Plug-in looks just like its regular ICE sibling, but under the skin sits a 2.0 litre Drive-E petrol engine with 238bhp and 258lb/ft of torque – which drives the front wheels – and a 68bhp electric motor with 147lb/ft of torque that can drive the rear wheels, which can be recharged in 4.5 hours.

Ferrari 599 HTGE China Limited Edition

Thu, 08 Oct 2009

The Ferrari 599 HTGE China Limited Edition But time they are a changin’ (thank you Mr D.), and China has become a big market for purveyors of luxury goods, none more so than Ferrari. So sticking together a Limited Edition Ferrari for the Chinese market is an eminently sensible move for Ferrari, even if the dozen models of the China Limited Edition will be a mere drop in the ocean in a country which boasts a population of 1.3 billion and still rising. So it seems a reasonable bet that Ferrari will have no trouble selling the China 599 to the extremely wealthy who now sit at the top of China’s financial pecking order.

Citroen Tubik concept

Sat, 03 Sep 2011

Citroen has revealed the Tubik,  a large upright MPV concept which draws on the French automaker's previous Tub van from the late 1930s. The surface language of the MPV - the car doubles as both a commercial van and a people carrier - is decidedly more technical than previous Citroen concepts, but it still sports a resolutely rounded aesthetic. Its front face draws heavily on the 1948 Type H van, which was built up through to the 1980s.
