Mercedes S63 gets new 5.5 litre V8
Mon, 01 Mar 2010The Mercedes S63 AMG is the firts to get the new AMG 5.5 litre V8 Bi-Turbo Mercedes’ top end AMG engine has changed over the last few years. It’s gone from a 5.5 litre supercharged lump to the now ubiquitous 6.2 litre normally aspirated engine, which anomalously gets badged ’63′ throughout the cars that sit at the top of each of Mercedes big-engined ranges. But whatever BMW’s reasoning the fact is that we will get the 2011 BMW 6-Series Convertible in March, probably six months before the 6-Series Coupe arrives. The 2011 6-Series Convertible is, you won’t be shocked to learn, exactly what we’ve been expecting for quite some time (we even brought you the first photo of the 2011 BMW 6-Series Convertible last month) and is a topless take on the new BMW 6 Series Coupe we saw at Frankfurt back in September.

Ford uses the technology, which it calls AdvanceTrac with RSC, throughout its vehicle lineup.
