Mercedes introduces C-Class Estate

Mercedes-Benz introduced a wagon variant of its new C-Class today at its factory in Bremen in northwestern Germany. The C-Class Estate is not only an affirmation of the popularity of the Benz wagon, a popularity that transcends decades as well as engine swaps, but also a commitment to Bremen -- a facility that already builds the C-Class, along with the E-Class, SL, SLK and GLK. The C-Class Estate makes extensive use of aluminum construction -- up to 50 percent of its body is made of the stuff.

Ford at Geneva Motor Show: Ford Focus Estate (2011)

The 2011 Ford Focus Estate gets revealed this week at Geneva Ford are busy delivering cars based on their new C–Segment platform to the market. New for this iteration are redesigned lights, a more economical engine, and a handful of extra techie options. Certainly doesn’t look like a nine-year old car, the Discovery… Strictly, this is an updated Discovery 4, which has only been on sale since 2009, but the 4 is essentially a heavily facelifted version of 2004’s Discovery 3: it retains the dual chassis unibody/body-on-frame construction responsible for the 2570kg kerb weight.
