MOTOR WAS REMOVED FROM A E63 M6 WITH 88615 MILES, VIN # WBSNB93548CX08654 MANY PARTS HAVE BEEN UPGRADED SINCE THE MOTOR WAS PULLED:
THESE PARTS ALONE COST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS NOT INCLUDING LABOR. THESE MOTORS TEND TO HAVE ISSUES AROUND 50-60K MILES, BEARINGS ARE THE USUALLY FIRST TO GO, VANOS LINES START LEAKING AND LOSING OIL PRESSURE, ONCE THE VANOS UNITS AREN'T WORKING THE TIMING HAS ISSUES WHICH DROPS THE HORSEPOWER SIGNIFICANTLY. THE SHOP WHO DID THE WORK SAID THIS MOTOR WILL EASILY GO ANOTHER 90K MILES IF ALL THE MAINTENANCE ROUTINES ARE COMPLETED ON TIME. The former F1 world champion is pursuing money owed to him and issued a petition to close down P1 to pay the debt. But Hill’s co-founder of P1 International, and current chief executive officer, Michael Breen told CAR Online that the petition to wind up his business had been unsuccessful.
