Audi will build the new Audi Q3 at a SEAT plant in Spain starting in 2011 Despite the late arrival on the scene of the Audi Q7, the 4×4 behemoth from Audi has certainly made its mark. Followed recently by the Q5, it has carved a niche for Audi that is standing up remarkably well in the current climate. But Audi are intent on capitalising on their 4×4 success story, and have today revealed that the next instalment – The Audi Q3 - will start production in 2011 at a SEAT plant in Martorell in Spain.

Volvo to trial self-driving cars on public roads

Volvo Volvo has announced that it will soon begin a trial of 100 self-driving cars on the public roads around the Swedish city of Gothenburg. While many other carmakers – and Google – have been experimenting with this kind of autonomous driving technology, the ‘Drive Me – Self-driving cars for sustainable mobility’ project is set to see driverless cars mix with real traffic on real roads. The Audi A1 S-Line - the Sporty A1 S-Line package gets revealed Having had a little moan earlier that the Audi A1 overshadowed the debut of the RS5, we have to confess that we are finding the A1 a tempting ‘Only Premium Car in its Class‘, mini-bashing Audi. We’re more than a little impressed with the A1 e-tron but the A1 range as a whole does look like it will offer the best competition yet to the market-dominating MINI. Audi has already said that it intends offering a range as complete and customisable as the MINI, which will start at the bog-standard A1 and run the gamut through the electric A1 e-tron up through to the performance oriented Audi S1 (which Audi has already confirmed).
