Volkswagen Polo 2014 update announced ahead of Geneva Motor Show

Fresh off the back of news that Volkswagen will show a hot new Polo R concept at the Geneva Motor Show 2014, the German firm has announced that its regular Polo supermini will receive a host of updates. The Polo’s mid-life 2014 facelift features some delicately revised styling inside and out, as well as a new range of more efficient engines and even more technology packed inside the smart little cabin. Opel Zafira Tourer concept

According to Vauxhall, the Zafira Tourer concept gives a strong hint at what a production version may look like. Continuing the original mindset of the practical mini MPV, the Zafira Tourer concept aims to combine the Flex7 seating arrangement with a more luxourious and ‘lounge' style environment. The Zafira Tourer adopts an Ampera-esque DRG as well as other new stylistic features.

Brighton Speed Trials under threat

Nearly 8,000 people have signed a petition to see the Brighton Speed Trials return in 2014. The event, which dates back to 1905, was cancelled last year while an inquest determined the cause of a fatal motorbike crash that occurred in 2012. Now organisers are urging the local council to give them permission to return to the Speed Trials to Brighton’s Madeira Drive this summer.
