M.O.S.T stands for (Media Orientated Systems Transport) fiber optic ring and is used by European vehicle manufacturers to interconnect the audio/visual equipment within their vehicles. We have been advised that other vehicle manufacturers also use the standard M.O.S.T fibre optic ring system including Aston Martin, Honda, Toyota, Volvo, General Motors, Hyundai and Kia. We can see no reason why this cable terminator should not also be fully compatible with these vehicles.

This connector will correctly align the two ends of the fiber optic cables into the male M.O.S.T plug. We can also supply this connector with the male plug, please see our other listings or contact us for further details.

The following link will provide full engineering details of the male M.O.S.T plug which this connector fits into:

Mobile phones set to be biggest roads killer

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

MOBILE PHONES are likely to be the number one cause of fatal collisions on the UK’s roads by 2015. The number of drivers making calls, texting and using social media while driving has risen dramatically, which has led Transport Minister Patrick McLoughlin to propose doubling the number of penalty points added to a driver’s licence if caught using a mobile phone while at the wheel. Figures from the Department for Transport show there were 378 accidents in 2012 that were directly attributed to mobile phone use, with 17 deaths recorded as a result.
