‘Nemesis’ breaks UK electric car speed record
Sat, 29 Sep 2012An electric car – based on a second-hand Lotus Exige – has broken the UK electric car speed record with a speed of 151.6mph. We’re not entirely sure how relevant a new UK speed record for an electric car is, but let’s be parochial and report it anyway. Suzuki Vitara is back! New small SUV bound for Paris show 2014
Wed, 27 Aug 2014By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 27 August 2014 17:21 The Suzuki Vitara is coming of age - and this first official picture suggests the populist SUV is growing up to become a slicker, more mainstream 4x4. It’s certainly a far cry from the 1980s Vitara which became synonymous with a certain strata of society (see second picture in our gallery). Due to be shown at the 2014 Paris motor show, the new Suzuki Vitara is a mid-sized crossover aimed at on-road driving rather than fording your local stream en route to the gymkhana.
Lexus LFA, from design to dealership in six minutes: Video
Tue, 18 Oct 2011Seeing the Lexus LFA in person makes it easy to forget that the supercar has been in development for more than 10 years. But you do get a wondrous amount of technology for $375,000, the carbon-fiber body, a retractable rear wing and a compact V10 so fast that analog gauges couldn’t keep up with it. Add to that 553 hp, 354 lb-ft of torque and a 202-mph top speed, and we just had to put the LFA to the test at our favorite local racetrack.
