I didn't like the giant opening in the final drive of my beautiful K1300S so I bought a BMW auto hood roundel, machined a piece of aluminum to affix it to, threaded a rod to connect both sides, made a counter plug for the opposite side and put it all together.  I have since sold my K bike and thought someone else might like this on their rocket.  I have never seen another like it and sadly I didn't take a photo of it on the bike but it really looked great.  These are not offered by BMW so I don't know whether there are any long term adverse effects on the final drive by semi-plugging the opening.  I use this for two years without incident. The roundel will face the right side of the bike so when it is on the side stand it is a nice, finished look.  I don't plan to make any more of these so if you want a one-of-a-kind item then this might fit the bill.

Postage is $10 and if actual cost is less, I will refund the difference.

Porsche Nardo Test Track (map from Google Earth) The enormous Nardo Test Track near Lecce, Italy, has been acquired by Porsche as a new testing ground. Top Gear viewers will probably remember the opening episode if the last series of Top Gear (series 18) with the Lamborghini, McLaren and Noble in Italy or, more specifically, in the Lecce region of Italy which nestles in the warmth of Italy’s heel. The Lecce region also houses the Nardo Test Track which is where the boys took their supercars to hammer round the slightly bumpy outer oval seeking top speed.

Vygor Opera .2 – just as ugly as the first Vygor & €140k

Vygor Opera .2 - a second take on the new crossover from Italy Last month we reported on the Vygor Opera, a new ‘car’ from Italy which we thought looked like a cross between a 5-Series GT, Subaru and an X6, but after a dose of ugly pills. So when we got an email in to say there’s a second version of the Opera – catchily named the Vygor Opera.2 – we thought Vygor must have bucked up their ideas from the first Opera and employed someone with a proper Italian flair for design. No such luck.
