From the cute Mini Coupe concept that debuted almost two years ago at the Frankfurt motor show to Monday, when the sporty two-seat Mini Coupe in the United States has finally been revealed as reality. Mini released the first pictures of its diminutive new car on Monday, which will fittingly and simply be called the Mini Coupe.

Students graduating from the Northumbria University BA (Hons) Transportation Design course based in Newcastle in the north east of England have shown their work at an exhibition entitled ‘New Designers'. Held the Business Design Centre in Islington, north London, the exhibition featured a series of schools displaying various thesis projects from their Art and Design programs. Lotus Eigne David Fearnley Like the recently unveiled Evora, the Lotus Eigne (First Born) aims to offer a more practical sports-car in the Lotus range.

The city of Turin has been celebrating as World Design Capital 2008 this year with a series of over 200 separate events and exhibitions. One of the highlights has been a series of three themed shows running throughout the year, entitled '20th Century', 'Speed' and 'Dream'; the final exhibition of this trilogy. Housed at the Giovanni Agnelli Espositione - the wonderful Nervi-designed hall on Corso Massimo D'Azeglio that used to host the Salone di Torino in the 1950s - 'Dream' is a fabulous exhibition but, regrettably, one that hasn't been well publicized outside of Turin city.
