Rolls Royce at the Paris motor show 2008
Fri, 03 Oct 2008Rolls Royce at the Paris motor show By Mark Walton Motor Shows 03 October 2008 16:11 Nothing much happening at the Rolls Royce stand at Paris. There are three cars lined up: the enormous Phantom (still the Daddy); the vast Drophead (with its yacht-style rear decking); and the gargantuan two-door Coupe(launched at Geneva earlier this year). Hey, Rolls-Royce is a tiny bespoke manufacturer - it doesn't just churn out new models like Toyota does, you know.
Alfa Romeo 4C finally on sale in 2013?
Mon, 29 Oct 2012It seems the Alfa Romeo 4C may finally arrive in production guise at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and on sale soon after. First seen at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011 – when we expected it to go on sale in 2012 – the 4C has been rolled out by Alfa Romeo a few times since – even complete with ‘teasers’ when all that had changed was the colour – to keep up interest in a car that holds much promise but didn’t seem to be heading anywhere. But now, according to Autocar, Alfa Romeo has confirmed that a production version of the Alfa 4C will arrive at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show before going on sale – at least in Europe – later in the year.
American Elegance: Duesenbergs and drag cars return for concours at Meadow Brook
Tue, 13 Jul 2010Cackling and rumbling, roaring and growling, the pair of vintage drag racers rolls onto the brick courtyard--a silver 1965 Dodge Coronet and a gaudy orange '66 “Gas Ronda” Mustang. They're two of the headliners at this year's Concours d'Elegance of America at Meadow Brook. They were followed moments later by a Bugatti Veyron, which almost silently slipped into view, thanks to the clandestine output of its 1,001 hp.
