2013 Mercedes E-Class Coupe & Convertible Facelift revealed
Fri, 04 Jan 2013Mercedes has revealed the facelift for the 2013 E Class Convertible and Coupe – adding to the Saloon and Estate updates we saw in December. The changes to the E-Class Coupe andĀ ConvertibleĀ are similar to those on the estate and saloon, with new single headlights instead of the E-Class’s familiar double headlights (although the LED running lights up the middle of the headlight conspire to make it look like it still has twin lights), new bumpers and LED tail lights. But the E-Class Coupe and Convertible don’t the sheet metal changes the saloon an d estate get, so the Coupe and Convertible retain the pontoon rear haunches to set them apart from the four-door E-Class models.

Imagine the same character lines, the same upward kink over the rear wheel, the same haunches as the 3 and the 6.
Honda Gear Concept
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Rather than fighting for headlines at NAIAS, Honda debuted its new GEAR Concept at the Montreal International Auto Show. The subcompact GEAR is apparently inspired by fixed-gear bicycles (although quite how is unclear), described as a customizable vehicle that demonstrates the carmaker's way of providing vehicles for young, urban, Gen-Y lifestyles. "Subcompact cars are usually either utilitarian, but uninspiring or they're fun, zippy cars that are impractical and too expensive for the Gen-Y buyer," said Dave Marek, Design Director at Honda R&D Americas, Inc.
