This item is a BMW female cable connector socket / plug specifically designed to terminate two fibre optic cables (data "in" cable and data "out" cable) and plug them into an existing male fibre optic plug for audio/visual modules on a M.O.S.T fibre optic ring found in BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, VW, Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. Please see the BMW parts diagram included with this listing (part number 9 is the female connector socket / plug in the diagram). The fibre optic cables are fitted into this BMW female connector socket / plug by a push fit and the blue tab locks the cables in position. No special tools are required to fit the fibre optic cables into this plug socket.
