The Awards, hosted by Chris Bangle, were presented to an audience of around 350 global design professionals. The work of all finalists' projects was on display, giving a superb opportunity for these up-and-coming young designers to discuss their work and future careers with prospective employers.

They’ve got better, as you no longer need to top them up with distilled water at regular intervals (I’m showing my age now), and they are less prone to going flat. But that probably has more to do with alternators replacing dynamos than the batteries themselves.
