You are looking at a brand new genuine BMW Factory GoPro Camera Track Fix Front Bumper M Performance Mounting Kit for practically any current generation (F chassis) BMW model.  If you have a GoPro camera, a BMW you take to the track, and a desire to see the world as your bumper sees it at warp speed then this is the missing link in your realization of that experience.   As you can see this mount does project your GoPro camera out beyond the front bumper a good bit so if you're using this for non-track use please be careful as you can do damage to other vehicles with it protruding.  This mount is installed on the tow hook, so you simply remove the tow hook/eye cover on your front bumper to access it.

Pagani Zonda R: Nurburgring Record Video

Thu, 29 Jul 2010

The Zonda R setting a record lap at the Nurburgring Back in April we reported that Ferrari were claiming a Nurburgring record for the 599xx. This made-up-by-Ferrari record was for the fastest time round the Nurburgring by a road based car, or so Ferrari claimed. Of course, they were wrong on so many levels, despite the 599xx setting a cracking time of 6m 58.16s.

BMW Concept ActiveE at Detroit motor show 2010

Thu, 17 Dec 2009

BMW has unveiled this rolling testbed for its electric car strategy - the new Concept ActiveE - at the 2010 Detroit motor show. It's a fully electric BMW and a hint of what's to come through the long-range visionary Project i plan which will reshape BMWs for the 21st century. No prizes for guessing it's based on an existing BMW production car, the 1-series CoupĂ©. But the hardware underneath is designed to percolate across the lower echelons of the BMW range, starting with some exciting new bespoke electric cars. The ActiveE is the first fully electric BMW and follows in the treadmarks of the Mini E. Like the Mini, this battery BM will be used as a pilot test programme where it will be driven by selected private and fleet motorists.BMW ActiveE concept: how it worksThis is a rear-drive BMW with the internal combustion engine ditched in a Munich scrapheap.

Upcoming Volvo XC90 gets new safety tech

Wed, 10 Jul 2013

The Volvo XC90 has been with us for 10 years now -- a long time indeed when it comes to product life cycles of comparable upmarket SUVs. The stylish sport utility was a popular seller in North America for a good part of that decade, and for a while was even offered with a 4.4 liter V8 engine developed by Yamaha and shared with the second-gen S80 (a first for a Volvo passenger car). But if there's one thing Volvo is known for, it's not V8 engines -- it's safety.
