Peugeot Prologue concept (2008): first photos

Tue, 16 Sep 2008

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 16 September 2008 11:14 This is Peugeot’s Prologue, a Paris motor show concept that preview 2009’s 3008 MPV. It’s another dot-dot-dot concept to join the RC, but the Peugeot Prologue is production ready. There’s a big egg-crate grille, boomerang rear lights and a full-length glass roof, but apart from toning down the big bumpers and sills, the Prologue should become the 3008 MPV with few other exterior tweaks.

Toyota Prius plug-in hits UK

Mon, 21 Jun 2010

The Toyota Prius plug-in arrives in the UK The next step in the Toyota Prius story is the plug-in Prius, which adds some Lithium-Ion batteries to the mix and the ability to plug the Prius in to the mains to get a usable kick-start to your day’s motoring, with an electric only range of up to 12.5 miles – around double the range a regular Prius can manage when fully charged. Toyota announced plans to get 500 Prius Plug-in Hybrids on the roads in 2010 back in September last year to evaluate their real-world performance before the plug-in gets a proper release – probably in 2012. Toyota are leasing 20 of the Prius plug-ins to a handful of public and private businesses in London as part of their plan to develop the Prius plug-in, and reduce the company’s overall CO2 levels – something which is sadly required by legislation.

Toyota GT 86 Supercharged planned

Sat, 10 Dec 2011

Toyota GT 86 Supercharged in development With the Toyota GT 86 now revealed, it seems Toyota are working on a more powerful supercharged version. The Toyota GT 86 is now properly out in the open, and it promises to offer lots of fun in a light and appealing package. Almost a modern version of the MX5, but hardly the Toyota equivalent of the Porsche Cayman Toyota would like us to think.
