Features: This aftermarket remote control can be perfectly matched to your Yamaha
Tohatsu outboard and its controls. (1)A stainless
steel core with special nylon covering using plastic-on-plastic technology that
increases cable performance. (2)A splined
inner core for ultra-low friction and reduced end play. A 45% reduction in
cable friction (vs. standard marine cables) for smoother operation. (3)A 4" bend minimum radius offers superior flexibility and easier rigging. (4)Stranded
core wires increase strength and resist kinking. (5)Exposed
metals are stainless steel to help protect against corrosion. (6)An
ultraviolet-stabilized jacket resists cracking and water migration to the core.
(7)Factory-installed
anti-corrosion materials extend the life of the cables.
Note: When choosing the correct cable length for your application, be sure
to add the distance from the center of the engine to the bilge area through the
rigging tube, from that point to the gunnel (usually starboard) where the
cables will run to the console, the length of the gunnel or rigging tube, and
the distance from the gunnel to the console where the remote control box will
be located - then add two feet. This extra distance will allow for any errors
in measurement and ensure sufficient bend radius for smooth, easy shifting.

Alfa Romeo teases the 4C. Why?
Fri, 05 Aug 2011Alfa Romeo 4C Frankfurt Tease (click for full image) We’ve had good reason to report on the Alfa Romeo 4C since it arrived on the car landscape back at Geneva in March. The 4C is exactly what Alfa should be doing to resurrect interest in the marque. They’ve done lots of good with the cracking little MiTo and the surprisingly good Giulietta.
Peugeot 508 leaks early
Mon, 12 Jul 2010The Peugeot 508 Estate - turns up a day early It seems like a very long time (it was November last year) since we first reported that Peugeot are dropping the 407 and the 607 and replace them with a new car – the Peugeot 508. Which makes sense, with the 407 getting a bit long on the tooth and the 607 selling nowhere but Paris. We got the first official view of the 508 in the 5 by Peugeot concept at the Geneva Motor Show at the start of the year, and a good looking and elegant Peugeot it looked.
Solar car built by Cambridge University crashes
Tue, 08 Oct 2013The annual World Solar Challenge is taking place right now. 38 teams from all round the globe are racing 3,000km (1,864 miles) across Australia using energy from the sun alone. Unfortunately, the planned entry from the UK’s very own Cambridge University isn’t amongst them – because five days before the start the above happened.
