Yanmar Marine Instruments Panel (professionally made after market panel) Dimensions: 11" x 6" The Alternator Tach which is also called the variable ratio tachometer, is hooked up to the AC output terminal on the alternator. This terminal can be marked in a variety of different ways: AC, AUX., S, R, TACH, or nothing at all. Once installed, the tach is then calibrated to that specific engine by using a shop tach or a known “no load” governor speed. The white label on this tach gives the formula: [Crankshaft pulley dia./alternator pulley dia x NO. of Alt. Poles = N] “N” is used to determine the correct switch setting. Another adjustment on the back allows for fine tuning. Please check the type of RPM signal your engine has, we have all three tachometers available for purchase. 2014 Bentley Continental GT3-R revealed
Tue, 17 Jun 2014The Bentley Continental GT3-R proves that a year is a long time in motorsport. Just 12 months after Bentley unleashed the awesome and, quite frankly, terrifying Continental GT3 racing car at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, we’re being treated to a road-going version. With 580hp and a bold makeover it's certainly not for the faint-hearted.
Jaguar F-Type – new video ahead of debut
Thu, 20 Sep 2012We have new video of the Jaguar F-Type ahead of its reveal in a week’s time at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Jaguar then did pragmatic thing and released that rogue image of three F-Types officially (rather than twisting arms to take it down as sister company Land Rover did with the first photo of the 2013 Range Rover) so we could see the F-Type in decent detail. But just the one photo.
Inside Bob Pond's car collection
Fri, 30 May 2014Robert Pond was an industrialist, an aviator, a Navy pilot, an aircraft designer, a genuine car enthusiast, a philanthropist, a Minnesotan at heart and a man who turned a family business from eight employees to a global $100-million concern. Pond was born in 1924 in Edina, Minn., 10 miles southwest of Minneapolis. He signed up for the Navy Air Corps in 1942, and survived three years of training on J-3 Piper Cubs and PBY Catalinas to graduate in July of 1945 -- just three months before Japan surrendered to the US.
