Lotus Exige S V6 rolls off the production line
Fri, 27 Jul 2012The Lotus Exige S V6 with the 3.5 litre Supercharged engine from the Evora S has started rolling off the production line at Hethel. The Lotus Exige S V6, with the supercharged 3.5 litre engine we first saw in the Evora S, has started to roll off the production line (actually, ‘production line’ me be a bit of an exaggeration) and is heading off to its new owner.
Autoweek in review: coupes, trailers and rarities
Fri, 03 May 2013We rang in the week with good news as we found out that the Cadillac ATS will bring a coupe version when the new model arrives next year. We also saw the final trailer for the Oscar-worthy “Fast and Furious 6.” On Tuesday, we checked out the McLaren P1 testing in the Arctic and saw the cars of the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto V” video game, which included pickup trucks, supercar clones and motorcycles. Midweek, we reviewed the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid and found that the 2014 Lexus IS will only cost $885 more than this year’s.
Henrik Fisker leaves his eponymous company
Thu, 14 Mar 2013Henrik Fisker, co-founder of Fisker Automotive, has resigned from the company as Fisker seeks funding to move forward. But Henrik Fisker managed to convince the car world his Fisker Karma was credible, even if its gestation has been plagued by problems, the latest of which has been the demise of its battery supplier – A123 Systems – and the wrecking of a dock full of seemingly uninsured Karmas by Hurricane Sandy. The current problems at Fisker has seen them seeking a new investor, with two Chinese companies – Geely and Dohnfeng – vying to take a majority stake in Fisker Automotive and help Fisker recover sales of the Karma and move on with Project Nina, the smaller Fisker Atlantic.
