I purchased these to put on my 2006 LJ, but I no longer have the Jeep and they were never installed.  The #2993 bumper is a rugged piece and features a textured finish, 2 D rings, a 2" receiver for a bike rack or other accessories ( I'm told this isn't rated for towing). The #5292 tire carrier attaches to the post on the bumper, as seen in the photos, and features a cb antenna mount, a Hi Lift jack mount, clamps for holding 2 5gal. gas cans, and a place for your spare tire.  Makes an almost ideal addition to your LJ, TJ, and I was told some YJs as well.  The above photos are stock photos, but my items have not been installed and are in new condition.
These will normally sell for $800, plus you have sales tax.  I'm not charging sales tax, thereby saving you money. There is free local pick up.  Shipping would be truck frieght as these are large and heavy boxes.  The exact amount for shipping would be stated before payment is made.

Toyotafest: Accelerating into history

Sat, 08 May 2010

When you think of automotive history, the names that come to mind are carmakers celebrating their centennials such as Alfa Romeo, Ford and Mercedes-Benz. But the younger carmakers deserve some historical props, too. Toyota has only been in existence 77 years and on sale in the United States for only 50, but it has a small and growing cadre of dedicated enthusiasts nonetheless.

Kia Ray Concept at Chicago Motor Show

Thu, 21 Jan 2010

Kia wil preview the Kia Ray Concept plug-in hybrid at the Chicago Motor Show next month Yes, the Detroit Motor Show is only just about done, but waiting in the wings is the rather less fancy Chicago Motor Show (although they probably won’t thank us for describing it as such). But despite Chicago being a lower key affair than Detroit they will still get their share of new stuff. Well, not necessarily new (we reported that North America gets the BMW Alpina B7 which will debut at Chicago) but certainly new to the US.
