Mind you, even though we got a huge press release which ran to more pages than we cared to count, and a pile of new photos including interiors for the first time, there’s still a chunk of detail missing. We don’t for example have performance figures, much beyond a 7.1 second 0-60 mph for the 238bhp EcoBoost Evoque.

The Code 130R is a four-seat coupe with a classically European proportion and size and more than a passing resemblance to the BMW 1 Series coupe. The car's muscular fenders, short front overhang and power-bulged hood provide reference to the classic muscle car era that engaged the youth of the 1960s and '70s.
Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG is go for launch at 2014 Detroit Motor Show

The German firm has given the green light for GLA45 AMG, with the final production version set to make its world debut at the 2014 NAIAS North American International Auto Show in Detroit later this month.
