Boost Pressure Switch - For Turbo Water Injection Hobbs on 2040-parts.com
Stevensville, Michigan, US
This is a brand new MADE IN THE USA Boost Pressure switch. Very small at only 2x1x1". High quality teflon diaphragm, 10amp SPDT (single pole double throw) normally open and normally closed contacts. Similar to Hobbs but more flexible and easy to install.
Your choice of 2-24psi (3/16" barb) or 15-60psi (1/8npt port). 2-24psi is shipped by default. Please note the 15-60 range switch has a 1/8npt male port. If you need the 15-60 switch you MUST note this on the paypal payment comment section. Emailed notes will not be accepted as we have had too many issues hunting down emails and linking them to each order.
We will preset the switch to the psi you require for $1 extra. You MUST mention the required setting in the paypal payment. Please be sure to also include the additional $1. If you cannot add it to the payment, please send it immediately via paypal or the switch will not be set!
The switch range is where the switch can be adjusted within to activate or deactivate. This is not the maximum boost it can handle. It will stay switched above the set boost, up to 100psi.
There are 3 electrical connections to the device. One is common. One is N/O (normally open). The other is N/C (normally closed). Use .187" female quick connects to attach wires to the switch.
Need to activate your water injection, staged timing retard, boost alarm, boost indicator, etc? Connect to common and N/O. Above the set pressure, it will latch contacts across N/O and COM to activate a device. Need to turn of a device once set pressure point is reached, such as nitrous? This is perfect for spooling up your turbo with nitrous, then shutting it off once the turbo is spooled. Pressure is adjustable from the small allen screw on top of the switch.
This switch is manufacturer rated to "switch" in the 2-24psi range. It is virtually identical to another switch sold here on ebay for much more $. If you place these side by side, they both function identically, except for the price!
Note that both switches have a maximum 100psi rating.

Craigslist Catch: 1973 Porsche 914
Mon, 18 Apr 2011Yeah, we're stirring the pot a little today. But one of our goals here at autoweek.com is to get our readers talking, and what's more likely to do that than the Porsche 914? No matter your opinion of the 912's successor, this Vancouver-based example appears to have most of the bugs worked out--with the exception of the engine, which is still all Bug.
