This is a good working used Factory Borg/Warner T-10  4-Speed .  It was in dry storage on my shelf for at least 15 years. I had wanted to build a 63 Chevy 409 Car but I could never find a  reasonably priced 409 engine.. So I have decided to sell it. The date codes are late 63 so it would be correct for a  late 63 or early 64 Corvette,409 or any V8 car. You can put this behind any G|M  car or truck. The tail is dated 1/9/63 the side cover 3/28/63 and the case D/11/63  The center plate is marked WD 3031     The tail is cast T 10-7D and the case is T10D-1  I inspected all the gears and they all look good with no chips or damage. There is no damage or repairs on the mounting ears. or trans mount. It shifts in and out of gears as it should. I have never had this in any car but the person I purchased it from took it out of his wrecked Corvette. It had worked great for him before he wrecked his Vette.  This would be a great 4-Speed for any GM car. .Happy Bidding !!!

Dacia ‘Twingo’ planned as sub £5,000 entry-level Dacia

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

The current Ranault Twingo (pictured) looks set to live on as the new Dacia Twingo The new Renault Twingo – which shares its underpinnings with the next Smart – arrived at the Geneva Motor Show last week, and it looks an appealing and impressive city runaround. With 3-cylinder engines, rear wheel drive and decent looks, the Twingo looks to have a decent chance of making sensible sales this side of the Channel as the budget alternative to the next Smart Car, which will be basically the same under the skin. But those plans may go a bit awry if a report from Auto Bild is accurate, as Dacia appear to be preparing to take the current Twingo and turn it in to a budget offering for the Dacia range.

CAR tech: Audi's miracle e-fuel (2013)

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

Global warming; sky-high oil prices as reserves peak; spiralling crop prices and intense pressure to find fertile land – society faces immense challenges, as it strives to protect the planet and keep our cars on the move. Audi is working on a miracle fuel that could help mitigate these problems, in a facility under construction in the uncompromising, scorching environment of New Mexico, USA.  Not content with having a range more diverse than London’s World Pride parade, Audi is moving into the fuels business, in partnership with US biotech firm Joule Unlimited. The pair are developing carbon-neutral synthetic fuels, called e-fuels in keeping with Audi’s E-tron eco brand.
