Chevrolet pulled all the stops to ensure the re-launch of the legendary Camaro was worth the wait to agonized fans, and the world’s most winning exhaust has responded in kind. Rather than simply work from concept vehicles and drawings, BORLA RD engieers headed down under to the GM Holden facility in Australia to work directly with the GM Camaro team. The result of this exciting collaboration is a series of exhaust systems including Cat-Backs, rear sections and long-tube headers, providing the ultimate in tuned performance, sound, style and fitment. BORLA’s Camaro Cat-Back arsenal is led by an aggressive high-performance “S” type system (PN140280) that utilizes patented XR-1 technology from BORLA exhausts used in race-winning Corvettes and other GM champions. Drivers who prefer a more subdued sound will opt for (PN140281), a “Touring” version that combines a racing heart with a more stealth-like growl. V6 owners get a big piece of Cat-Back™ action too, with a power-adding dual system (PN140282) that amplifies the 3.6L powerplant well into V8 territory. Each of these Cat-Back options (including the V6 system) comes complete with an x-pipe for increased flow and richer sound, and is also available as a rear section. (PN11775), (PN11774) and the V6 version (PN11776). On top of the power, sound and looks, drivers also enjoy significant weight savings with a BORLA® exhaust, shedding as much as 43lbs over stock — enough to make a difference at the pump and the track. Like all BORLA exhaust products, the Camaro systems feature durable high-quality austenitic stainless steel construction, patented “power when you want it, fuel economy when you need it” technology, mirror-polished tips and a Million-Mile Warranty. For serious racers, BORLA has topped their lineup with long tube stainless steel XR-1 Headers (PN17249). Combining 1¾” primary tubes with patented race merge collectors, this product is a direct result of BORLA’s 30-year legacy with race-winning Chevrolets from Indy to Daytona.

Skoda Citigo five-door (2012) first official pictures

Tue, 31 Jan 2012

Skoda will show this slightly more practical Citigo five-door at the 2012 Geneva motor show. Mirroring the VW Up five-door, the Czechs buck the tradition of offering a single body derivative in the bargain basement city car sector. It's only in recent years that more manufacturers began to offer a choice of three or five doors in the smallest car segment.

Central Academy of Fine Arts degree show 2009, China

Tue, 09 Jun 2009

China's home grown car makers are increasingly ambitious, as illustrated by plans to grow rapidly at home and, in some cases, expand abroad and compete with foreign rivals in cutting-edge technologies. One big impediment they face in taking on their foreign rivals is design. Top dogs in the global auto industry invest heavily in engineers and designers.

Spy shots: Aston Martin DB9 replacement spotted

Mon, 26 Mar 2012

Fresh from the Autoweek in-box, we bring you these new spy photos of Aston Martin's DB9 successor, lightly camouflaged and frolicking in the snow. To paraphrase digital editor Andy Stoy, the bad news is it that looks like every other Aston. But the good news is that it looks like every other Aston.
