How Do I Know This Pump is Genuine?

Many signs tell a non genuine/copy pump including lack or or poor inscribing on the side of the pump, or a product box which opens from the long side instead of the end like a genuine one does.  Generally a copy/look alike pump will not flow to the level a genuine pump will and almost never can reach, let alone maintain the pressure of 72psi making them unable to be a direct swap for each other tuning wise.

Why Cant I Just Use a $100 Copy Pump?

Simple answer, for low hp low state of tune applications the only difference will be operating life and noise made (copy pumps making a strange noise sounding as if they are almost ready to break).  Operating life can vary for a copy pump but sometimes they will malfunction after as little as a month or even straight from the box.  With Bosch you get a 2 year warranty, with pump life often exceeding that 10 fold.

In high horsepower, high state of tune applications using copy style pumps is a mistake, turning your high dollar engine build into a time bomb with potential of grenading the second the pump seizes and causes the engine to run lean.

Audi preps S3 Cabriolet for Geneva

Wed, 19 Feb 2014

Audi revealed the S3 Cabriolet on Wednesday, before its Geneva motor show debut. The go-fast version of the small A3 Cab shares the same widespread MQB architecture as the rest of the 3 range, but it gets a hotter engine, a lower stance and, of course, a rag top. It’ll arrive in Germany this summer, and possibly here sometime after the S3 sedan in early 2015.

Car insurance market condemned by MPs

Fri, 04 Jul 2014

CAR INSURANCE is a "highly dysfunctional market" in which firms' pursuit of profit has led to higher prices for consumers, a report by MPs has said. In some cases, business practices have not been in the consumer interest and have "inadvertently encouraged criminal activity", the report from the House of Commons Transport Committee said. There was no clearer example of this than "insurance firms' willingness to pay compensation for whiplash claims which they suspect are fraudulent without requiring the claimant to undergo a medical examination".
