The Bosch 30019 12 Volt Voltage Regulator is a modern solid state replacement for the original mechanical voltage regulator. The 12 volt regulator is compatible with the GR15 Generator used on VW Beetles and Karmann Ghias from 1967 through mid 1973 and 1973 to 1974 VW Things. It is also compatible with the GR16 generator used in 1967 through 1973 VW Type 3 Square,Fast and Notchbacks as well as the GR17 generator used in 1967 through 1971 Type 2 Bus models. Telematics discounts tempting young drivers

INCREASING numbers of young drivers are opting-in to telematics-based car insurance in attempt to reduce their premiums. Specialist young driver insurer Carrot has reported a 62% rise in the number of its policyholders choosing to have a telematics device, consisting of accelerometers and a GPS tracker, fitted to their car. The company says that they could save up to 20% on their annual insurance premium, which for the youngest drivers almost always amounts to a discount of hundreds of pounds.

Trio of Range Rover Hybrid prototypes completes trek from Solihull to Mumbai

A team of three Range Rover Hybrid prototypes has just completed a 53-day journey from Solihull, England to Mumbai, India. The route retraced the centuries-old Silk Trail, taking the team through 13 countries. The trucks and drivers experienced just about every type of terrain, as well as temperatures ranging from -10 degrees Celsius to 43 degrees Celsius, the latter translating to a very uncomfortable 109.4 degrees Fahrenheit.

Citroën to unveil DS4 Racing 'concept'

Citroën is set to debut its all-new DS4 Racing concept at next month's Geneva show as part of its evolution of the DS lineup. The concept, developed by Citroën Racing – the company's seven-time WRC winning motorsports division – is host to a range of new features courtesy of the Citroën Racing engineers. The chassis has been lowered by 35mm from that of the DS3, with the track being widened by 55mm at the front and 75mm at the rear along with the inclusion of 19-inch wheels.
