2013 Fiat Panda 4×4 revealed ahead of Paris 2012
Wed, 29 Aug 2012Fiat has revealed the 2013 version of the Panda 4×4 ahead of a public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. The Fiat Panda might not be as cool as the Fiat 500 (oh, alright, it’s not cool at all), but it is a much better car than you might expect. Sadly, Fiat no longer build the Panda 100HP – as quick a way round urban traffic as you’ll ever find – but they are continuing with the Panda 4×4 and have just revealed a new version.
Infiniti: The Q50 Eau Rouge is still happening
Fri, 04 Apr 2014Infiniti would like to remind you of two things: 1.) that its Q50 Eau Rouge is going to be built, yes, definitely, no really, trust us, and 2.) "Vettel's invaluable feedback will be engineered into the next stages of the prototype's extensive development program," said Infiniti. Hey, it worked for Senna.
Aftermarket Car Plug-In Hybrid system developed (video)
Sun, 05 Aug 2012The Department of Engineering Technology at the Middle Tennessee State University has developed a plug-in hybrid retro-fit system for cars. As hybrid cars show the world that we can get more miles to the gallon from fuel by adding in an electric motor to the mix (depending on just how that electricity is generated, of course), it was inevitable that aftermarket solutions would eventually surface. Now, the Department of Engineering Technology at the Middle Tennessee State University has popped up with what they claim is an after market plug-in hybrid system that can be added to just about any car and would cost – assuming it gets to market – around £2,000.
