Renault teases 'Captur' SUV - a baby Juke rival

After a pitiful year of sales for Renault in the UK in 2012 (they plummeted 40% in figures out yesterday), the French are fighting back with a baby SUV designed to repeat the success of inhouse rival the Nissan Juke. It comes a day after local rival Peugeot announced its new 2008 crossover, another rival in this shrunken crossover/SUV contest. What's the Renault Captur based on?  Renault has so far issued only this solitary shady teaser image.

The VW Golf R 400 is the most ballistic, angry VW Golf that the factory has ever built – as quick as the VW Vision GTI Concept but based on the current Golf R, so it seems tantalisingly viable for production. The new saloon is the third-generation Infiniti M for American and Japanese buyers – but will also come to UK and European showrooms for the first time when it goes on sale in September 2010. The new M will offer American buyers a choice of either a 316bhp 3.7-litre V6 M37, or a 420bhp 5.6-litre V8, badged M56.
