This is a brand new BOSS air bag coil assist kit to suit the rear of :
Dodge Ram 1500 all 2009+ Models

This kit sits next to your coil springs in the rear. For
environmental reasons we have moved away from the old zinc plate finish
to a new high quality black powder coating with anti corrosive
preparations. If you carry heavy loads at all you
should consider heavier springs of some sort. But the problem with
heavier springs is that when you don't have a load they are rock hard
and not only does it feel terrible but the car handles poorly. If your
load varies you need soft suspension when you don't carry a load and
heavy suspension when you do have a load. Cant manage that with heavier
leaf springs. The only real way to achieve this is with air bags just
like those in trucks and buses. 100% Bolt on - so easy to fit.
With
a BOSS Air Bag Load Assist kit you can run them with zero pressure when
you are running light weight without a load. Then just pump them up
when you load up. The heavier the load the more air you can apply. These
will safely load up to 150 psi and carry 2600 Lb per bag = 5200 Lb. That's heaps. Typically when loaded you would run at about 40-60psi. When
unloaded a few psi can help eliminate any body roll and improve
handling. Our customers report back with that as being a surprise bonus
feature. Each
bag has its own air line and valve. By keeping them separate and not
allowing air to transfer between bags we eliminate body roll. The kit is complete ..
Essentially you
can lift the rear of the vehicle with air bags to level when otherwise
sagging in the rear. You can avoid your headlights blinding oncoming
drivers when your rear end sags. Also you can expect less body roll and a
better ride, steering and handling especially if you soften up the leaf
pack. Shocks, tires and leaf springs will last longer too.
We can supply each
individual component separately if for whatever reason you need a new
part, bearing in mind you have a long warranty anyway. Also we use these
same bags in almost 100 other kits and so there a great chance you can
re-use the bags in your next vehicle and save money when you just buy
the brackets.
The steel brackets are very heavy duty.
