Nissan LEAF EV sales top 50,000
Sun, 17 Feb 2013Nissan has revealed that sales of the electric LEAF have now topped 50,000 units since the LEAF went on sale in 2010. We’re not fans of the electric car as a replacement for the ICE car, but some electric cars can give a fair impression (at a a price) of a traditional family car, and the Nissan LEAF probably does it better than any other electric car. LSE shows the Range Rover Sport ‘Tiret’ Coupe

Powered by either the regular 4.2 supercharged lump (or the TDV8 as an option), the standard S/C lump can be tweaked to deliver either 480bhp or 520bhp. But even the regular S/C in the LSE comes with a tweaked ECU to deliver more power and torque than the standard unit.

We are compelled to tell you to steer in the direction of the skid, to stock emergency supplies in your trunk, to make sure your car is shod with the proper rubber to get you through the season. But winter brings more than snow, ice and cold.
