Thu, 15 Jul 2010The 2011 Ford F-150 pickup will get three replacement powertrains. Ford Motor Co. will offer a 3.7-liter V6 and a 5.0-liter V8 in the 2011 F-150 pickup when it goes on sale early next year, sources say.
Toyota halts sales of eight models as plants wait for new pedals
Wed, 27 Jan 2010Toyota Motor Corp. has suspended sales of eight models as its assembly plants wait for redesigned replacements for faulty accelerator pedal mechanisms. The sales halt will be followed by a production shutdown next week at five North American plants, Toyota said late Tuesday.
RIP Anatole ‘Tony’ Lapine 1930–2012
Wed, 09 May 2012Anatole ‘Tony’ Lapine, head of Style Porsche from 1969 to 1988, passed away at the age of 81 on 29 April at his home in Baden-Baden, Germany. Lapine is best known for overseeing the then new generation of cars during his time at Porsche. These included Wolfgang Möbius' iconic 1978 928 and the Harm Lagaay-designed 924/944.
