REVOLUTIONARY PERFORMANCE
Boyesen's patented dual-stage
design incorporates a specially shaped top reed and a ported bottom reed. The
top reed is lightweight and resilient for crisp throttle response at partial
throttle or low RPMs. The stiffer, bottom reed is ported to provide maximum flow
and horsepower at higher RPMs. More valves equals more power by creating:
More Air Flow. The dual-stage design allows you to replace your stock reed
stop with a Rev-Plate which permits the reeds to open freely and function
efficiently.
More Air Velocity. The multi-port feature of the bottom
reed creates more channels for the charge, delivering increased velocity to the
intake ports.
More Overall Power. Dual-stage reeds work in unison to
perform efficiently throughout the entire powerband. The difference in stiffness
between the top reed and the bottom reed allow the reeds to respond quickly and
accurately to changes in engine pressure. This translates into quicker
acceleration, crisper throttle response and increased horsepower throughout the
powerband.

The last 2013 MINI rolls off MINI’s production line
It’s only ten days since the all new 2014 MINI was revealed, but already production of the current MINI – launched in 2006 – has ended at MINI’s production plant in Oxford. It’s hard to believe, but the current generation of the MIN I has sold over 1 million around the globe in the seven years since it launched, and the BMW MINI – since its re-birth in 2001 – has shifted a grand total of 1,863,289 MINI hatches and 2.4 million MINIs have been built in Oxford since 2001. When the current, 2nd generation BMW MINI, was launched in 2006, it brought with it new turbocharged engines and suspension tweaks to make sure the then ‘new’ MINI continued to offer all the things that make MINI special, but in a more grow-up way.

VW & Audi sell 100,000 diesel cars in the USA for the first time
Until very recently, a diesel engined car in the USA was as rare as hen’s teeth; Americans felt much the same as we used to about diesel-engined cars – fit only for commercial vehicles. But from a slow start, VW Group of America is gradually changing the mindset of American car buyers and now, 36 years after the first VW diesel was sold in the US, the VW Group have sold more than 100,000 diesel-engined cars in the USA in a year for the first time. With 12 Audi and VW diesel models on offer in the States – including new arrivals Audi arrivals like the Audi Q5 TDI, A6 TDI, A7 TDI and A8 TDI models – its seems the USA may now be heading down the route the UK went a few years ago, where a majority of car buyers in the UK feel the default buy is a diesel.
