SAE 40 HIGH PERFORMANCE OIL

Manufacturer: Brad Penn
Part Number: BPEN-40WT

Description

•Formulated with the unique cut from Penn-Grade stocks, this heavy viscosity straight-grade motor oil is designed to provide excellent protection for street and competition engines.

•Its superior film strength, highly effective detergency package and foam inhibitors make it an optimal lubrication choice for muscle car/hot rod enthusiasts.

•The increased ZDDP provides outstanding antiwear/antiscuffing protection for engines with older style push rods as well as those employing flat tappet cams.

•Excellent option for vintage car lubricant and air-cooled applications where a mono-grade viscosity is preferred.

Note: Penn Grade 1 High Performance Oils contain high zinc and phosphorous additive concentrations which can be detrimental to cars and trucks with catalytic converters. Always consult your owner's manual for proper oil selection.

New Jaguar XJ Supersport Diesel coming?

Sun, 30 May 2010

The Jaguar XJ Supersport TDV8 - expect it in showrooms in 2011 We’ve known for quite a while that Jaguar Land Rover were going to start putting a new V8 diesel in to their cars. The 3.6 litre TDV8 which goes in the Land Rover is a very good lump (made by Ford at Dagenham) with some decent horses and a nice fat lump of torque. But the introduction by Jaguar of the 3.0 litre diesel and its subsequent introduction in to Land Rover’s cars meant the 3.6 litre’s days were numbered.

Tis the season

It's time to once again show the world your giving spirit. The annual Championship Auto Racing Auxiliary (CARA) auction of racing items—cool stuff gathered during the 2012 racing season—is underway. The CARA auction is run in association with Autoweek and can be found here, at autoweek.com.

July 9: Keeping it topped off

Fri, 09 Jul 2010

As expected, when I walked back to my parking space at VSP parking across the street from Burbank Airport the i-MiEV was fully charged. No problem. It had more than 24 hours to get charged and it can't take more than 16 hours to do it, if you figure one hour per kWh at 120 volts.
