Japanese for ‘swirling crosswinds’, the Kazamai is Mazda’s latest concept car to showcase the company’s Nagare design language. But alongside the wind-inspired looks, the four-wheel drive Kazamai is also said to showcase Mazda’s ‘sustainable zoom-zoom’ strategy, with the company’s latest-generation engine and transmission.
Mercedes try to 'bring the noise' back to F1
Thu, 15 May 2014MERCEDES trialled a device aimed at amplifying and improving the much-maligned sound made by the 2014 marque Formula One cars on the second day of testing in Barcelona. With new V6 engines forming part of an overhaul in F1 regulations, widespread criticism of the dulcet tones has continued from the opening race of the season in Australia. With F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone amongst those to question the enjoyment of listening to the new engines, the teams decided to look into ways of making it a more pleasurable experience.
Toyota prices the new GT 86 RWD coupe at £25k
Fri, 03 Feb 2012Toyota has quashed all the rumours about how much its new GT 86 rear-wheel drive sports car will cost: the price has been confirmed at £24,995 in the UK. Some speculation had suggested the price might soar nearer £30k on account of the unfavourable yen exchange rate. But Toyota GB today confirmed the GT 86 will start at £24,995.
