Mini at the Salone del Mobile, Milan
Wed, 13 Apr 2011Mini is using this year's Salone del Mobile in Milan to showcase its 'flair for design.' As with previous years, Mini will be using sites at Milan's Università degli Studi and the Triennale Design Museum for its installations that highlight the brand's 'Creative Use of Space' philosophy. The running theme between the two works is the progression of the brand, from its roots, through to the future of mobility. The Università degli Studi instillation is entitled 'Mini Sintesi' and was initiated by Italian design magazine INTERNI under the watchful eye of Gilda Bojardi.
New Vauxhall Astra – Frankfurt details & Prices
Wed, 16 Sep 2009The New Vauxhall Astra (2010) at Frankfurt We’ve seen the pictures of the new Astra some time ago – and had some detail – but the news from the floor on the new Astra comes in the form of price and spec. And the Astra looks like it’s placed itself pretty well. The entry level Astra – the Exclusiv 1.4i – offers 86bhp and comes with AirCon, Stability Control and an MP3 compatible radio/Cd for £15,675.
Pagani Zonda Revolucion (2013) first pictures of ultimate 790bhp Zonda
Tue, 04 Jun 2013Is the new Pagani Zonda Revolucion the Nurburgring lap-record holder in waiting? The Zonda Revolucion (Revolution in Spanish) is a fettled version of the track-only Zonda R, boasting more power and F1-derived brake and aerodynamic know-how. It should easily be able to eclipse the Zonda R's record-breaking 6min 47sec Nürburgring lap time, but you’ll need fast money, too. Available to order now, the five Revolucions being produced will set you back an eye-watering €2.2m (£1.8m) each – plus taxes – and you still can't drive it on the road… For £1.8million, the Pagani Zonda Revolucion had better be packing some serious punch… Worry not: the mid-mounted 6.0-litre AMG V12 (normally aspirated still, rather than twin-turbocharged like the new Pagani Huayra in CAR's video review below) develops 789bhp – a 50bhp increase on the 2009 Zonda R's output.
