Megane Renaultsport 265 Trophy grabs Nurburgring Record
Fri, 17 Jun 2011Megane Renaultsport 265 Trophy and the Nurburgring crew First we get the news that Renault has pushed out a limited edition Megane Renaulsport – the Megane Renaulsport 265 Trophy with a slightly tweaked and titivated version of the Megane Renaultsport 250 – and now we get the follow-up publicity with the claim of a new Nurburgring record for the brisk Megane. Unveiled this past weekend at Ferrari’s World Finals end-of-season gig at Mugello, just 499 Scuderia Spider 16Ms will be built, each costing over £180,000. Ferrari says its latest model has been built to celebrate the Prancing Horse’s 16th F1 Constructor’s title, hence the ‘16M’.
Infiniti to get Audi A3 fighter in product blitz
Mon, 04 Jul 2011Nissan plans to introduce a compact, entry-level Infiniti model below the G series to compete against such cars as the Audi A3 and Lexus CT 200h. The car would be part of a global product blitz to build Infiniti's lineup to 10 vehicles from seven by 2017. The car would be based on the Etherea concept shown in March at the Geneva auto show, a person familiar with the plan says.
