Subaru has come up with a deal for the Impreza WRX Turbo where you can have the car for the same price as the 1994 equivalent – just £17,798. Which in itself is an interesting figure and shows that cars, or certainly the Impreza in this case, have got cheaper in real terms.
GM, SAIC to develop electric cars in China
Tue, 20 Sep 2011General Motors will work with its joint-venture partner, Chinese carmaker SAIC Motor Corp., to develop parts and vehicle platforms for electric cars, the companies said on Tuesday. The automakers will use their existing joint venture in Shanghai, the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, as the home base to develop the electric car--aimed primarily at the Chinese market. GM says it plans to use the platform, components and technology from the project to build electric cars around the world for various markets.

This issue features in-depth design development articles on the most interesting and important concept and production vehicles from the recent Tokyo, Detroit and Geneva auto shows. The cover star is Nissan’s IDx concept.
