Cars Land comes alive

After five long years of painstaking work and three years of construction, Disney and Pixar have finished a splendid collaboration to bring the town of Radiator Springs to full-size, three-dimensional life at Cars Land, opening June 15 at Disney California Adventure next door to Disneyland. Vygor Opera .2 - a second take on the new crossover from Italy Last month we reported on the Vygor Opera, a new ‘car’ from Italy which we thought looked like a cross between a 5-Series GT, Subaru and an X6, but after a dose of ugly pills. So when we got an email in to say there’s a second version of the Opera – catchily named the Vygor Opera.2 – we thought Vygor must have bucked up their ideas from the first Opera and employed someone with a proper Italian flair for design. No such luck.

Dodge Hornet is go

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 04 July 2007 12:30 The newly independent Chrysler Group has saved its deal with Chinese maker Chery - which means that the Dodge Hornet is a step closer to production. Dodge needs a partner with which to develop new smaller cars, like the Hornet, as it's too cash-strapped to fund them solo. The deal signed last night means that the two car makers will 'work together to develop, manufacture and distribute Chery-made small and sub-compact cars in North America, Europe and other major automotive markets under the Chrsyler Group brands.' No mention was made of the Hornet, but Chyrsler’s international director for sales and marketing, has previously told CAR Online that the firm would produce the butch supermini.
