'27% would drive into floodwater'
Wed, 27 Nov 2013A DEVIL-MAY-CARE attitude amongst drivers is commonplace when it comes to flooded roads, according to a survey. Nearly 2% would ignore a road-closed sign, while 42% would blindly follow the vehicle in front if it managed to cross a flooded road successfully, the poll shows. Around a quarter of drivers (27%) would attempt to go through moving floodwater nearly 12in (30cm) deep, according to the Populus survey conducted for the Environment Agency and the AA.
VW Golf R 400 (2014) first picture
Wed, 16 Apr 2014By Damion Smy First Official Pictures 16 April 2014 23:01 VW just has to make this car! With a ridiculous 3.9sec 0-62mph claim, the ‘400’, named after its Porsche 911 Carrera S-matching 400PS (395bhp), will rocket into the Beijing motor show to say ‘Cop this, A45 AMG’.

Last week, we offered two options for your eternal torment, a straight-8 Packard and a straight-8 Buick, and we just love those classic Detroit cars! So much so, in fact, that we're going to stick with Detroit (well, Detroit and Kenosha, if you want to split hairs) and fast-forward the calendar a couple of decades to the Golden Age of Muscle Cars.
