**Shipping Note: Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost. I can send an invoice separately through paypal for shipping cost once the final destination, carrier, and actual cost has been determined. Should go US Post Office(possible??-might not), another option is  Greyhound bus to a station nearest you that accepts packages.  Please any questions or if you would like a shipping quote let me know.  Thank You!

Weight of the hood boxed approximately 65 pounds.

Compatibility is the responsibility of the buyer.

Item up for auction is a Brockway Truck Hood. Hood halves separated for shipping.

***Do not go by the year painted on the hood. Not sure of the actual year but is believed possibly a 1950??***

Comes from one  we are parting out, the hood is in generally good/okay shape for being so many years old.

The hood has surface rust, pitting, small dings, and the hinge areas have some spots broken loose due to cancer/rot rusted through. (please zoom in on pictures to see)

The handles are there, their spings very rough likely will want to replace those. The center piece which holds the hood halves together is there but has a ding from removal. (see picture)

Remember the hood's age, it is rough, and needs restoration.

Would work for a Rat Rod or restore for a Brockway rig.

If you have any questions please send an email, please make sure it is what you want before placing a bid.

Thank You for your time and interest!

Concept Car of the Week: Lancia Bertone Sibilo (1978)

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

The second half of the ‘70s saw automotive design fall into an era of uninspired and uninspiring economic cars finished with cheap plastic add-ons and stuffed with beige itchy fabrics. Working from the little Bertone studio in Turin, it seems Marcello Gandini didn't get the memo and carried on drawing futuristic wedgey supercars. With the Sibilo, he pushed his signature angular style to a new level of modernity.

The new nose incorporates details similar to the XC60, declaring Volvo’s intention of a family theme.
