Bsa M20 Oil Tank on 2040-parts.com

Condition:Used Brand:BSA

This is an old tank, not a reproduction. As such it is not perfect but it is real and really nice. The tank itself has few minor dings but no significant dents. Please look at the pictures. All threads- oil feed and return pipe junctions and mounting bosses are very good. No evidence of crossthreading, cracks or stripping.

One picture shows the tank mostly stripped of grunge and the rest show it with a coat of Rustoleum. There is no filler or bondo on this tank.

You will want to wash out the tank, buy a new filter and paint it appropriately before use.  If this were a Goldstar oil tank, you might easily make it perfect.   It is an M20 tank, however, so imperfect is probably closer to concours.

The cap is etched by corrosion on the outside but has plenty of meat, grips the filler neck well and should be oil tight with a new gasket. Note the brass wing bolt to secure the cap.

You are responsible for knowing if this part fits your needs but I will measure, inspect and photograph to help you make a good choice.

Ford Mondeo gets Tri-Fuel capability

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. You have to admire Ford. They do so much right and so little wrong (at least in Europe) that they really do deserve enormous success.

Audi Q1 sub-compact SUV in 2016

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

The new Audi Q1 will look like a smaller Q3 (pictured) There was a time when saloon cars ruled the car sales charts, but they eventually went out of fashion to be replaced by the more practical hatchback. But, despite the demonising of the SUV by ‘green’ groups, compact SUVs/Crossovbers have become the favourite flavour for car buyers as they seek something practical and with the promise of a bit of go anywhere credentials (even if they are cosmetic rather than mechanical). So it’s no surprise to see cars like the Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008 and Renault Captur starting to grab sales from small hatches.
