Buell Blast Custom Intake Boot Aka: Superboot on 2040-parts.com
Middletown, New York, US
This is a DansCustomParts Original for the Blast. ( For 1 ) - AKA: SuperBoot this fits all 2000-2010 Buell Blast Made In U.S.A. out of all new parts.
If you have a Pro-Series, Aftermarket air filter or Custom Intake if you leave the carb unsupported the stock boot will fail. This is the cure it incases the whole boot totally seals it. No need to support the carb the clamp takes care of that. I built an tested this on my Blast and an others test piloting for me also for thousands of hard miles without a problem with no supports holding any of the carbs running custom built intakes. I've had some customer report getting 10,000 miles on the rubber boot before needing replacement which I do keep in stock if you do need a replacement boot.
This also works with the "Factory Stock OEM Airbox" making it a More Reliable bike then it already is.
The SuperBoot rubber coupler is rapped with a 304 Stainless Steel band clamp the clamp I take an remove all the steel parts then replace them all with Aluminum and All Stainless Steel hardware with a nylock nut to keep in place an keeps it looking good for a long time as well. I machine some of the parts to make the clamp even lighter yet to get it down to 5 ounces!!! Thanks for looking!

Caterham Seven 160 launches as a back to basics Seven
Tue, 22 Oct 2013Caterham Seven 160 launches as a back to basics Seven The promise of 80bhp from a tiny Suzuki 3-cylinder turbo engine may not sound the perfect recipe for a fun little sports car, but wrapped up in the ‘back to basics’ Caterham Seven 160 it very well could be. Caterham has revealed details of their new entry-level Seven – called 160 – after a tease earlier in the year, which comes with the aforementioned Suzuki 3-pot engine which is powerful enough to promise brisk acceleration of 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds. Caterham has stripped the 160 back to the bone with very low weight, it gets a five-speed manual – from Suzuki but tweaked by Caterham – and a live rear axle.
Future products: Acura will push for luxury credentials without V8, RWD
Fri, 01 Oct 2010The dreams of getting a V8 engine, rear-wheel-drive platforms and a sports car to replace the NSX have died for Acura dealers. Now the question is whether Acura can follow Audi's lead and elevate its brand from premium to luxury with front- and all-wheel-drive platforms. Meanwhile, Acura may return to two segments that it had abandoned by adding a compact car and a coupe.
Petrol prices expected to plunge
Wed, 09 Oct 2013PETROL PRICES at the pumps could plunge by almost 4p over the next two weeks, the RAC predicted today. But the reduction, and a forecast 2p dip in diesel, will only happen if other retailers follow the supermarkets' lead in dropping prices, the RAC added. It said that the wholesale price of petrol had now reached its lowest price since the beginning of December 2012.
