2004 Buell XB12R Front Seat
 
Description

As removed from a 2004 Buell XB12R Firebolt
One front seat in perforated / textured finish, black, OEM part in good used condition. Some minor details that keep this from being a perfect seat, which I'll try to list and photograph clearly.

  • Right/rear mount tab has a small section in the ear cracked, but still works fine with a washer head bolt.
  • Puncture / melt? damage in cover on bottom rear, just left of center. Looks bad with seat off, but never see it when installed.
  • Some wear on standoffs where seat frame would contact motorcycle frame. Minor, but worth mentioning.
  • Almost looks like a couple staples had pulled out along the front bottom edge, in the transition area outside / near the two front posts of the frame, probably insignificant, but wanted to point it out.
  • One flaw that I could find that might be apparent while installed: One spot in the cover is rubbed through exposing the seat frame / pan, at the lower right front corner. I never noticed it while installed, but upon close scrutiny and examining it for this listing, saw it.

I don't have an interchange for this part, but it looks like it should fit just about any XB-R Firebolt model, including XB9R and XB12R, '03-up, as well as 1125 R / CR. This MAY not be cost-effective to ship Priority Mail (due to size), in which case FedEx home will probably be the better choice.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster arrives next week

The Roadster version of Lamborghini’s LP700-4 Aventador will be revealed in Miami next week and debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show. The Lamborghini Aventador – successor to the Murcielago – was revealed by Lamborghini at the start of 2011 before getting a public debut at Geneva 2011, since when we’ve been anticipating the arrival of its Roadster sibling and even had confirmation of the Aventador Roadster from the EPA in the US. But the wait for the Aventador Roadster is now just about over with the news that Lamborghini will be debuting their open-topped Aventador at the Los Angeles Motor Show later this month.

Mercedes-Benz to use Maybach name for range-topping S-class

Mercedes-Benz will be bringing back the Maybach name for the extra-long-wheelbase S-class, which is expected to go on sale by the end of this year. This version of the S-class will be a third bodystyle (out of an eventual total of four), and will be positioned above the V12-powered S600 and its AMG siblings. The Maybach-branded Mercedes-Benz personal limousine will essentially be a replacement for the Maybach 62, and will feature an entirely reworked rear section with new rectangular rear doors and a new rear passenger compartment with first-class seating.

McLaren 650S priced from £195,250 and does 0-62mph in 3.0 seconds

The new McLaren 650S (pictured) costs from £195,250 It’s only ten days since the McLaren 650S was revealed as a more hardcore version of McLaren 12C supercar – and with more than a hint of P1 styling – but McLaren are already building it and have revealed performance and price details. Available as either a 650S Coupe or 650S Spider, the starting point is £195,250 for the Coupe and £212,250 for the Spider, that’s almost £20k more for the 650S Coupe than the 12C Coupe and £17k more for the Spider. But apart from the more dramatic styling, increased downforce and tweaks from the extra power – the 650S gets 641bhp – to the improved handling and dynamics, you also get increased levels of optional equipment including carbon racing seats from the P1, rear parking camera and full carbon fibre interior.
