“offering at no reserve is a decent driver quality grille from a 1956 super. The face of the bars shine up decent but are just starting to show some tiny pitting getting started. Over the sides of the grille bars where the factory did not prep/polish there is more pronounced pitting but with some file work would be hard to see. On the left side behind the trim molding there is a mounting tab broken and one of the bars of the grille has a crack (see pictures). These are all hidden by the molding. The molding shows signs of having been tapped probably causing the damage. All are fixable or grille can be cleaned up real decent for a driver. Selling with intention of needing full restoration. This is a decent driver quality item with a little polishing as is. Have the center bar offered in a separate sale. I am adding weight for packaging to protect it.”

Offering at no reserve (as usual) is a grille from a 1956 Buick Super. Decent driver quality as is with some polishing. Grille appears to be real solid except on the drivers side behind the molding there is a mounting tab broken and a fine line crack in one of the bars. These are behind the molding and hidden.  There is super tiny pitting just getting started on the faces of the bars and more noticeable pitting around the sides of the bars where the factory did not prep it and chrome it. The moldings have had the plating peeling and have surface rust. The left molding appears to have been nudged probable causing the mounting tab to crack as aforementioned. Good driver quality with some cleaning and polishing. I have added a bit to the weight for extra packing protection. Selling with intention of needing full restoration. Foreign bidders welcome but will have to be shipped to an address in the lower 48 states due to size and weight. Import/export companies on the coast are a good and reasonable source as they ship containers regularly. Have the center bar offered in a separate sale. Payment expected within 5 working days. Lamborghini reveals 2011's new V12 supercar engine

Lamborghini today announced the first details of its new V12 engine and transmission, which Lamborghini president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann promises will be 'the strong heart of the Murcielago successor next year.' It's to be the first clean-sheet Lamborghini engine since the original V12 first appeared in the 350GT, nearly 50 years ago. Lamborghini is keen to promote the low weight yet high performance of the new V12, which produces 700bhp yet tips the scales at only 235kg. Sant'Agata has also announced a new transmission for the Murcielago successor.

Volvo V40 Cross Country & V40 R-Design: Paris 2012

Volvo has revealed the V40 Cross Country and V40 R-Design at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, and both are convincing. The sporty take on the new V40 is the V40 R-design, a cosmetic update for the already good-looking V40 that manages to bolt on go-faster bits without wrecking the good lines of the normal V40. We would like to have seen the Volvo V40 R-Design get the sports suspension as standard, but Volvo obviously feel that most R-Design buyers want the looks rather than the more dynamic ride the sports suspension offers, so it stays as an option. And as the R-Design option is available across the new V40 range – from the D2 to the T4 – it’s probably the right decision.

The 2012 Beetle has been unveiled ahead of its Shanghai Motor Show reveal. The new 'New Beetle' is said to draw on design cues from the original Beetle launched 73 years ago. Retaining a similar silhouette to the 2003 New Beetle, the 2012 model gains a stronger influence from the 2005 Detroit show 'Ragster' concept.
