This is a rebuilt rocker arm set for the larger buick straight 8 engines. it will only fit the 320. It is from a 1951 engine, so I know it will fit a 51 and 52, but past that you'll have to do your own research.
I bought this several years ago and was told it was "completely rebuilt" and the seller had the receipt for at least a new rocker arm shaft. everything else looks very clean, but I don't know specifically what completely rebuilt means, but it sure looks like its good to go. The receipt is from 1996, I am told it was installed but not ran. I am away a lot for work, so the SOONEST I can ship this is second week of August. feel free to email me if you want a more exact date. |

Essentially, the sound symposer is an electrically controlled diaphragm in a tuned sound tube that brings the proper engine noises into the passenger compartment. It can be opened and closed by the car's onboard electronics to offer snarl when you want it and serenity when you don't.
