And now Toyota has started production of the first full hybrid estate car in its sector. The first Auris Touring Sports rolled off the production line at Toyota’s Burnaston Plant on Thursday – a white car, predictably – with the Transport Secretary, Patrick McLoughlin, and Toyota’s European CEO, Didier Leroy, on hand to welcome the Touring Sports to European roads.

Although an annoyingly restricted view of the 500X, it is possible to make out the silhouette and outline of the baby crossover, which goes on sale in the UK in time for the new 15-reg launch in March 2015. The collection, which features a vast array of sculptures, paintings, digital art and photography created in many different media, will be auctioned off at an exclusive event at Bonhams in London on December 1. The unique pieces, created by created by Bentley's head of design, Dirk van Braeckel; head of interior design Robin Page; chief designer Raul Pires and 20 other designers, digital designers and clay modelers, draw on the skills and techniques utilized in their roles and their enthusiasm for art.
